Chicken Coop win FRAG TAP Reloaded in tight series

This one went the distance.

Chicken Coop have been crowned FRAG TAP Reloaded champions after defeating Marsborne 3-2 in a best-of-five grand final.

Having advanced through the upper bracket, Chicken Coop were given a 1-0 advantage to start the series. Marsborne would quickly neutralize that advantage with a 13-9 win on Inferno, in which Adam "Grizz" Golden snagged 28 kills for a 1.81 rating. Grizz again led the lobby on Overpass, but this time fellow HLTV Prospect Chance "WUMBO" Boyer showed a much-improved performance, allowing his team to take a 2-1 lead in the series.

Marsborne’s map pick of Mirage was where things took a turn. Chicken Coop dominated 13-3, creating a disparity in economy that Marsborne would have struggled to close, even if they had been able to win either of the pistol rounds. On the side of Chicken Coop, every member of the team posted at least a 1.12 rating.

Now tied at two maps apiece, our grand finalists would decide a victor on Ancient. Despite winning both pistol rounds this time, Marsborne were incapable of overcoming the 3-9 lead they surrendered in the first half. It was a narrow 13-11 win for Chicken Coop, but enough to crown themselves champions of FRAG Tap Reloaded.
