Voca sweep Chicken Coop, set up showdown with M80 in ECL S51 NA Finals grand final

Voca met Chicken Coop in the second semifinal in the ESL Challenger League Season 51 NA Finals. The first semis match was won by M80, who swept Iowa Stormboar two nights ago.

The second semifinal match was won by Voca in 2-0 fashion, but not without a challenge from Chicken Coop. The latter pushed Voca to the maximum rounds in regulation in the first map and were tied up late in the second map before Jeorge "Jeorge" Endicott and his side ran away with the series. Jeorge registered 19 and 17 frags, respectively, on the first and second map for a team-high 36 kills in the match.

Chicken Coop's map was Nuke, but Voca took advantage of starting on the favored CT side. They held an 8-4 lead at the half, bolstered by Jeorge and Wyatt "snav" Phillippi's thirteen frags apiece. Chicken Coop rallied at the end of the second half, winning three rounds in a row to cut the deficit to 12-11, but Voca clutched up in the final round to win the map 13-11.

Voca jumped out to another 8-4 edge at the end of the first half on Dust2. Chicken Coop won the first four rounds to open up the second period and tie up the map. Voca answered right back with five rounds on the bounce to take the map and match 13-8.
