Breaking: Valve release new version of Cache in Counter-Strike 2
The moment we've all been waiting for, Cache has officially been released in CS2.
After teasing the map's introduction into the FPS last week, Valve has released Cache into the latest version of Counter-Strike.
Anticipation of Cache's arrival in CS2 has been at a fever-pitch for nearly a year, since Valve bought the rights to the map from its creator, Shawn "FMPONE" Snelling.
Players showed their desire to play Cache at the beginning of the most recent season on FACEIT. The matchmaking service experienced "unprecedented" numbers after Cache was made available for play in FACEIT's competitive queue, leading to outages on the website.
The version of Cache that Valve has released looks quite different from the one that is currently on FACEIT, which is the map in its state as it was acquired from FMPONE.
Here is the first look at the map in CS2:
Cache has a storied past from its time in CS:GO, where it appeared in the Active Duty map pool from 2014 until 2019.
Players can now play the Valve official version of Cache in Valve Competitive, Casual, Retake, and Deathmatch servers.
