FMPONE releases new map, Splinter

Sean "FMPONE" Snelling has just released his newest map, de_Splinter, into CS2. In the lead-up to the April 12th release, FMPONE posted a short teaser cinematic on X, showcasing the map's visuals.

The mapmaker had previously teased this map, which is set in a sawmill in a mountainous region of Canada.

FMPONE previously stated that this is a remake of the map de_Coaline, with a very similar layout.

FMPONE is widely known for creating de_Cache. The classic CS:GO map was introduced into the Active Duty map pool in 2014 and replaced by Vertigo in 2019.

de_Splinter will be FMPONE's second-to-last map that he creates for CS, according to the mapmaker, before he transitions his focus into indie games.
