FRAG York reaches Stage 2

After two marathon days of LAN Counter-Strike, FRAG York has entered Stage 2. With 48 matches played over March 26th and 27th, the ELITE Gaming Arena in Syracuse has been teeming with NA CS. Unlike Stage 1, Stage 2 is covered by HLTV, meaning teams can now earn VRS points.

36 teams entered the double-elimination bracket of Stage 1, but only 16 were able to earn a spot in Stage 2.

As is the case at smaller LANs like this one, the favorites generally dominated the field. Of the top 16 teams by seeding, thirteen made it through to Stage 2, including the entire top ten. The three who missed out were Redacted Society, MERC, and cresent.

For Stage 2, the format now shifts to four all-bo3 GSL groups of four. Only the top two in each group progress, leaving eight teams for the playoffs. All Stage 2 matches will play out today, as well as the quarterfinals.
