motm: "Playing against Brazilian teams helped us raise our level"
Marsborne are looking good in their second event in their Brazilian tour, as they have qualified for the grand final at Circuit X Redemption Curitiba 2026.
Ian "motm" Hardy did an interview with Dust2 Brasil on March 6th where he spoke about the progress the team has made in Brazil.
motm spoke on the team's experience in Brazil:
When we arrived at Joggy and started playing scrims against the first Brazilian teams, it really helped us raise our level of play.
Their Brazilian run has also been very beneficial to their VRS standing, with the team now in a position to make the IEM Cologne 2026 Major.
motm and Marsborne have made a breakthrough in Brazil, "We are a very good team, but we often have difficulty beating teams that are ranked above us, and we managed to do it here, so I'm very happy."
He went on to say that he hopes Marsborne will return to Brazil in the future:
I would love to keep coming back. We need to play against Brazilian teams because we are ranked in the same Americas ranking in VRS.
If we're in the same VRS, we need to play against each other. I hope that Marsborne, my team, and I have started a new trend among teams in the United States.
We plan to come back. We need the points, and it's been very good for us here. You guys are great, so there's no reason not to come back if we want to be successful.
Marsborne and motm fell in the grand finals of Circuit X Redemption Curitiba 2026 versus 9z with a 3-0 loss capping off an otherwise very impressive run for the NA team.
