FPG 3 is off the calendar

FISSURE Playground 3 cancelled due to conflict with IEM Rio

Their July events for both 2026 and 2027 are also cancelled.

On March 3rd, tournament organizer FISSURE announced the cancellation of FISSURE Playground 3, which had been scheduled to take place April 20-26 in Shenzhen, China. In their announcement post, FISSURE cited "overlap with another major tournament in South America" as the reason for cancellation, referring to IEM Rio.

They have also cancelled events scheduled for July 13-19, 2026 and July 12-19, 2027, claiming, "tournaments held during the players break do not deliver the level of competition and spectacle that we are committed to providing our audience."

On January 30th of this year, FISSURE addressed controversy over delays in 2025 prize pool payments, which were attributed to "payment infrastructure issues" and "banking procedures."

Teams that participated in both FISSURE Playground 1 and 2 last year include TYLOO, FURIA, Astralis, GamerLegion, and several other prominent organizations.
