Another strong performance for Jeorge on Voca

PGL Bucharest NA Closed Qualifier Day #2 recap: Four more thrashings

At least one loser last night got to ten.

Day two of the North American Closed Qualifier for PGL Bucharest 2026 is over, but the results look awfully similar to yesterday. Four more series went down and, just like yesterday, none were particularly close. Here's hoping that night three has more competitive matches in store for us.

Last night saw the qualifier's first eliminations as FlyQuest RED and Sakura were knocked out by Fisher College and Aether, respectively. While Sakura got ten rounds on one map, the closest of all sixteen maps played so far at the qualifier, it still wasn't very close. Fisher College and Aether live to fight another match in the lower bracket.

United States Wildcard 2-0 United States BOSS

BOSS fans might want to look away for this first map. Though BOSS picked Nuke, Wildcard looked quite comfortable as they utterly dominated the first half, 12-0. After winning the pistol, Wildcard secured the ever-elusive 13-0.

Wildcard picked Mirage, but it was slightly more competitive. Wildcard started 6-0 up, but BOSS put up a bit of a fight to end the first half 9-3. Though they got the pistol, BOSS couldn't do much as Wildcard waltzed to the finish line 13-5, ending the series.

United States Voca 2-0 United States LAG

LAG picked Dust2 to start, but were unprepared for the whooping they were about to receive from Voca's new guys Paytyn "junior" Johnson and Jeorge "Jeorge" Endicott. Voca won twelve of the first fourteen rounds, powered by an outstanding performance from Jeorge. LAG got three back, but Voca quickly closed the map 13-5.

Voca looked even more at home on their Overpass pick as LAG never even got two rounds in a row. A 9-3 T-side from Voca all but ended it before a flawless CT-side closed the map 13-3, and the match 2-0.
