100 Thieves made great progress in their second LAN

100 Thieves climb into VRS top 35, fall short to HEROIC in DraculaN Season 5 Grand Final

100T won an astonishing 13 maps in a row during their lower-bracket run.

100 Thieves showed out in their second LAN tournament as a team despite falling to the lower bracket after their first playoff match v. ENCE at DraculaN Season 5. This left 100T with their backs against the wall, but the new roster responded by winning six straight best-of-three matches without dropping a single map.

Their lower bracket run culminated in a hard-fought 2-0 victory over FlyQuest, leaving just HEROIC standing in 100T's path on their way to the DraculaN title.

100 Thieves chose to start on their home map of Inferno, which they have yet to be beaten on. HEROIC didn't make it easy for 100T, though, as both sides traded streaks of rounds to leave the first half at a 6-6 tie. 100T's CT side was solid, as they sprinted out to an early 11-7 advantage. HEROIC made the map closer, but fell short, with the Thieves winning the first map of the grand final 13-10.

HEROIC went to Nuke to play for their lives in the grand final. Both sides jockeyed for control early on and it was 100T who were able to secure a slim lead at hafltime at 7-5. HEROIC then moved to the favored CT side, which they quickly took advantge of. HEROIC allowed 100 Thieves just three rounds in the second half, coming back to win their map pick 13-10.

The deciding map was Ancient, and neither side would go down easy in the first half. Both HEROIC and 100 Thieves had streaks of three rounds, which led to a deadlocked 6-6 halftime score. It was HEROIC who took the reins in the second period, as they went on a run of five rounds to take the 11-6 lead. 100T battled back to cut the lead to 11-9, but it was at that point that HEROIC claimed twelve rounds to give themselves three match points. HEROIC were propelled to victory in the final round by Tim 'susp' Ångström, who secured a 3K to give HEROIC their thirteenth round.

Simon "yxngstxr" Boije was immense for HEROIC in the final, as he logged 61 frags, thirteen more than the next closest player.

100 Thieves are now at #32 in the Global VRS rankings after their impressive run at DraculaN Season 5. They are also #27 in the European VRS standings, putting them ten spots away from qualifying for the IEM Cologne Major 2026.
