phzy has his sights set on a bounce back after a tumultuous 2025

Staehr on new-signing phzy: "I was surprised in a good way"

The former Wildcard man is slotting in well with Astralis.

Victor "Staehr" Staehr had kind words for new signings Love "phzy" Smidebrant and Gytis "ryu" Glušauskas after their 2-0 victory over 3DMAX at PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026.

In an interview with HLTV, Staehr said, "I was surprised in a good way," when asked about the level of his new teammates.

Staehr was impressed with the new duo's communication, saying, "I think a lot of international teams in tier 2, they just play for the aim and play individually, but these two actually have very good vocal strengths."

phzy will be a known quantity for NA fans, as he was a part of the Wildcard squad in 2025. The Swedish AWPer has had a solid start in his new team, averaging a 1.12 rating over 31 maps thus far in 2026.

Astralis will play v. Aurora tomorrow in a 2-2 decider match at PGL Cluj-Napoca, with playoffs at stake.
