2026 struggles cost FaZe again at PGL Cluj-Napoca

In another disappointing result, FaZe have been eliminated from PGL Cluj-Napoca in 12th-14th place after falling 0-2 against Astralis. They exit the tournament early with a 1-3 record in groups, having also lost to Falcons and PARIVISION.

This extends FaZe’s slump as they've yet to find a playoff match in 2026. Prior to PGL Cluj-Napoca, they’d placed 17th-32nd at the BLAST Bounty Winter Closed Qualifier and 9th-12th at IEM Krakow, a far cry from the potential they showed at the end of 2025. Over the 10 maps they played at Cluj-Napoca, only Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken secured a rating above 1.00, leaving fans wondering what happened to the FaZe roster that took a map off Vitality in Budapest just a couple of months ago.

While they faced some tough opponents in Falcons and PARIVISION, a win against #23-ranked HEROIC will do little but add a second tally to FaZe's only other victory this year (against #28-ranked BC.Game in Krakow).

FaZe will compete in ESL Pro League Season 23 and BLAST Open Rotterdam next month.
