Marsborne defeat Rave to win CCT Season 3 Series #3
The third series of CCT NA Season 3 has come to a close, and it is Marsborne who emerged victorious. The American squad handed Rave a solid 2-0 win in the final to secure the $5,000 first-place prize.
Marsborne defeated Zomblers and SportsBetExpert to reach the final, while Rave accepted unfortunate forfeits from regain and LAG to take their side of the bracket.
The final began on Marsborne's pick of Inferno. Though they lost the pistol, Marsborne still managed to get a 6-2 lead before dropping the last four rounds to tie the game 6-6. After losing the second pistol, Marsborne quickly recovered with a flawless remainder of their CT-side, taking Inferno 13-7.
Rave picked Ancient and were unable to get anything going on their T-side. Marsborne took the first pistol and dominated their CT-side 10-2. Though they lost their third pistol, Marsborne got enough rounds after a back-and-forth to close Ancient 13-7 and the series 2-0.
Connor "chop" Sullivan was a standout performer for Marsborne with eleven multikill rounds, three clutches, and a +9.39% round swing over the series.
