Round one of the Swiss Stage is now complete.

Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series 6 had two matches last night to finish up the first round of the Swiss Stage. The night began with a close 2-1 victory for FarmVille over Sakura, followed by a dominant 2-0 win for OverKnight over F5.

United States FarmVille 2-1 United States Sakura

The first series started with Sakura taking the first three rounds on their pick of Overpass. FarmVille quickly responded with a dominant rest of the half, only dropping one more round on the way to an 8-4 lead going into their T-side. They kept the momentum rolling with four more rounds to take a 12-4 lead. Though Sakura got three more, FarmVille closed the map with a comfortable 13-7 score.

FarmVille started their Ancient pick strong with five of the first six rounds on their T-side. However, Sakura replicated their success, dropping only one round for the rest of the half to tie the score 6-6. Though FarmVille picked up the pistol and conversion, Sakura won six of the next seven rounds to take a 12-9 lead. FarmVille fended off three map points to take the game to overtime. Overtime saw the two teams alternate wins for five rounds in a row until Sakura broke the streak with a win that earned them the map 16-14.

The decider was Mirage, and Sakura won the first two rounds. FarmVille then hit back with a monstrous nine-round streak. While Sakura got one at the end, FarmVille were still up 9-3 going into their T-side. FarmVille then started slipping, losing six of the first seven rounds to nearly tie the score 10-9. However, they recovered and got the last three rounds to take the map 13-9 and the series 2-1.
