Generation NSTLGA announces Washington Open event
Generation NSTLGA has announced its Washington Open tournament, which has replaced the previous Washington Invitational event.
The Washington Invitational was cancelled to try to make the event more likely to garner HLTV and thus VRS coverage.
In a statement to Dust2.us, Generation NSTLGA Founder and CEO Tony "Arr0w" Krasnyi said this about the cancellation of the Washington Invitational event, "The reasoning that we had to cancel is the invite portion of the event did not meet expectations, so I had to replace it with a fully open registration event to make sure we're 100% VRS compliant."
The Washington Open will have a cap of 16 teams with a scaling prize pool that will max out at $10,000.
The event will begin on March 20th and conclude on March 22nd in Olympia, WA.
Signups for the event are on a first-come-first-serve basis and will open up on February 6th at Friday 08:00PM. Those interested may sign up here on February 6th.
