Marsborne take down Procyon again to set up BESTIA rematch

Marsborne reached their group's final at FiRe CONTER Season 1 after taking down Argentine squad Procyon for the second time. Despite a close fight on the first map, the North Americans took care of business with a 2-0 victory.

The match began on Procyon's pick of Mirage where Marsborne got off to a shaky 0-3 start. They managed to quickly recover and dominated the rest of the half once they got guns, dropping only one more round on the way to an 8-4 lead. The second half started with another pistol loss, but Marsborne had a harder time recovering on their T-side. They lost seven of the next nine rounds and were down 10-11 before snagging the last three rounds, narrowly closing the map 13-11.

Marsborne's Inferno pick started well with their first pistol win. Despite occasional round losses, Marsborne kept overall control of the first half and went into their CT-side with a comfortable 9-3 lead. They capitalized on that strong half with a flawless CT-side, winning the map 13-3 and the series 2-0.

Despite an inconsistent first map, Danny "Cxzi" Strzelczyk was a beast on Inferno, ending the map with 106 ADR and a 2.27 rating. This made him Marsborne's best rated player of the match with an impressive +11 KD and +5.47% round swing.
