Could donk have teamed up with s1mple is BC.Game had a deep enough pocketbook?

Striker claims BC.Game wanted to acquire Spirit's roster, core

BC.Game tried buying multiple cores this off season.

On the latest episode of HLTV Confirmed HLTV's Editor-in-Chief Milan "Striker" Švejda claimed that BC.Game were at one point interested in acquiring Spirit's core or the whole roster. The claim on HLTV Confirmed follows BC.Game's acquisition of SAW's core in early January, seeing the organization pair up the Portuguese trio with Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev and Denis "electroNic" Sharipov.

BC.Game's alleged interest in Spirit's roster suggests the wealthy organization cast a fairly wide net when looking for a core to boost the team's standing in the Valve Regional Standings (VRS), as previous reporting suggests they also tried to buy Astralis and HEROIC's cores.

Pairing up s1mple and electroNic with three top Russian players does seemingly make more sense than three Portuguese players, however it seems that acquiring a team with potential to make the IEM Cologne 2026 Major this summer was the organization's main overriding goal.
