Breaking: Anubis returns to map pool, replacing Train
Train we hardly knew ye.
Valve have today announced that Anubis will be returning to the Counter-Strike 2 map pool with the release of Premier Season 4 on January 19th.
The change will see Anubis return to the map pool after a very short absence, leaving the pool on July 15th, with it now coming in to replace Train.
The reaction to the change has been thus far mixed, with many celebrating the return of Anubis while others lament the removal of Train so soon after joining the pool.
Likewise, Cache fans are quite disappointed due to the popular momentum behind that map's return to the Active Duty map pool.
The first S-tier event to feature the new map will be BLAST Bounty Winter 2026 when that event starts on January 22nd.
