Passion UA lose opening game of StarLadder Budapest Stage 3 to G2
Passion UA were tasked with taking on G2 in their first match in Stage 3 at StarLadder Budapest. Passion advanced to Stage 3 after defeating fellow NA side M80 in a do-or-die 2-2 match in Stage 2.
G2 came out very strong and Passion were not able to overturn the large deficit in the second half.
G2 started on the CT side of Mirage and took full advantage of that. The European side got off to a hot start, winning eleven of the twelve first-half rounds. Passion were able to find seven rounds in the second half to make the score look more respectable, but it was a purely cosmetic comeback. G2 did close out the match 13-8, before it got too scary for them.
Nikita "HeavyGod" Martynenko was the best player in a solid team performance as he dropped 21 frags with a 1.56 rating in the win.
