Strong start, but gotta finish

NRG draws legendary org in round four of StarLadder Budapest Stage One

To make a big impact, you have to take down a big name.

NRG's hot start may at the StarLadder Budapest Major may have cooled off at the hands of NA rivals M80, but the team is still in a strong position to defy the odds and reach the next stage.

With coach Damian "daps" Steele playing in place of Nick "nitr0" Cannella, NRG currently finds themselves sitting at 2-1, and have drawn fnatic in round four. While fnatic has been marred by inconsistency at Majors in recent years, they are considered the first dynasty in Counter-Strike Major history, having reached the grand final in four of the first six Majors between 2013 and 2015, winning three of them.

After somewhat controversially benching British player Cai "CYPHER" Watson for Passion UA loan player Mykyta "jackasmo" Skyba, fnatic is now classified as a Ukrainian core for the first time in its long history. But the familiar face of Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson still starts for the organization after a decade of service, having lifted two of fnatic's three Major trophies.
