Gabe Newell, the co-founder and president of Counter-Strike 2 developer Valve, has reportedly bought a yacht for an estimated $500 million, which is roughly 10 percent of the current CS2 skin market value.

The Leviathan was constructed by custom yacht designer company OceanCo., Newell purchased the Dutch ship yard earlier this year in August. The 111-meter Leviathan features its own science lab, a submarine garage, and 15 premium PC gaming stations.

Newell, known better to the gaming world as GabeN, founded Valve with co-founder Mike Harrington in 1996 after the duo left Microsoft. In addition to developing the Counter-Strike series, Valve has developed some of the most iconic gaming franchises in Half-life, Team Fortress, Left 4 Dead, and Portal, and also created and currently operates the gargantuan PC gaming platform Steam.

According to Forbes, GabeN currently owns at least half of Valve, and has an estimated net worth of $11 billion as of 2025. He has still not yet attended a Counter-Strike Major.
