Valve remove Imperial's "Gamdom" logo from StarLadder Budapest Major stickers

How did the logo get into the game in the first place?

Last night Valve pushed an update to Counter-Strike 2 that among other things reverted Imperial's logo in the StarLadder Budapest Major sticker collection to the version previously used at the BLAST.tv Austin Major. The change was seemingly influenced by "Gamdom Imperial's" logo being a one-to-one copy of bitcoin and crypto casino Gamdon's logo. Gamdom are the main sponsor of Imperial, with the gambling site acquiring branding rights for the Brazilian team on August 13th, 2025.

When Valve released the stickers for the StarLadder Budapest Major on Wednesday, Valve tacitly allowing Gamdom to place their logo in the game was the source of much debate and criticism, as gambling is a sensitive topic in general and especially in the Counter-Strike space. Additionally, it raised questions about the future of teams using sticker to advertise sponsors in the game.

While Valve haven't commented on why the logo was changed one can assume they weren't too keen on having their game used to advertise a gambling service or a product in general.

For their part, Imperial have yet to comment on the removal outside of posting a clown emoji around the same time their logo was changed in game.
