ECS Season 5 Open Qualifier #1 results are in
The first ECS Season 5 Open Qualifier came to a close yesterday as 64 teams fought their way through a BO1 single-elimination bracket that culminated in a BO3 quarterfinals, with compLexity, Splyce, F1-racecar-PEEK, and 2K coming out on top.
This online qualifier was one of four precursory events in which the top four placing teams will be granted invitations to the closed qualifier being held February 16-18 later this month. Winners of the closed qualifier will then move onto the Challenger Cup March 2-4 where they will fight for two spots in the regular ECS season.

While many of the eliminated teams are notable MDL squads, they will have three more chances to solidify their spots in the ECS Closed Qualifier later today, February 10th and again on February 11th.
