Wolffe announces retirement: "My long-term goals in life have changed and I have new dreams"

Best of luck to Wolffe in his next venture.

Kyle "Wolffe" Greenfield has announced his retirement from competitive Counter-Strike 2 today, seeing the 23-year-old rifler step down from LAG as a result. In a post on X announcing his retirement, Wolffe cited changing real-life priorities as the motivating factor behind his retirement, while thanking the community for the memories over the previous seven years in Counter-Strike.

Wolffe's retirement comes after a somewhat tumultuous year for the rifler, with Greenfield starting the year on BOSS and then BLUEJAYS, notably winning Fragadelphia x Block 2025 with the squad, before suddenly being benched in a shock roster move. Wolffe would eventually make his way to Vagrants before joining LAG, attending Fragadelphia 19 and Fragadelphia Blocktober with the team.

The latter event proved to be Wolffe's final LAN outing as the squad faced elimination during day two at the hands of SkinRave.

Over the course of his seven-year long career, Wolffe plied his trade for a number of notable NA organizations including RBG, DETONATE, Take Flyte, Limitless, Unjustified, BLUEJAYS, and LAG, winning a number of online events during this time while boasting the Fragadelphia x Block 2025 victory as perhaps the apex of his career.

With Wolffe retiring, LAG are now:

  • United States Mason "mason" Watkins

  • United States Justin "Sandman" Saulle

  • United States Kevin "consti" Yi

  • Canada Jonathan "djay" Dallal

  • United States Brennan "Aureo" O’Connell (Coach)

LAG will look to find a new fifth before the start of the Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series #4 on October 13th.
