Grt exits Rogue

The Canadian coach has left the Pro League squad and is looking for new opportunities.

Coach Garett "Grt" Bambrough has left the Rogue organization, he announced on Twitter.

The move comes after Rogue made a significant roster change in signing Ronnie "ryx" Bylicki and Hunter "SicK" Mims. So far with their new roster, the team played in both IEM Katowice Open NA Qualifiers, but lost to Etherian and compLexity respectively and couldn't make the Closed Qualifier — despite multiple teams pulling out. Interestingly, the team was seen being coached by Rise Nation's Jared "osorandom" Hartman in the second qualifier, which could further explain Grt's departure.

When reached for comment, Grt gave the following statement:

I have been involved with the team since May of 2017 and over the past 9 months it has been quite a roller coaster. In the end I have decided to step down to pursue other avenues whether that is coaching another team, working as an analyst, or even playing. I wish nothing but the best of luck to the guys and hope they have a much better season than the one we just endured. It was full of ups and downs but in the end it was best to part ways. I want to thank Rogue for everything they have done for me as they were nothing but classy throughout my employment. I am now looking for new opportunities.

It is expected that Grt will form a roster to participate in ESEA MDL Season 27, in the spot formerly belonging to FRENCH CANADIANS — though there are currently only three paid members on the roster. What is known is that former players Mert "REOVA" Bayrak and Keven "PLAYER1" Champagne would be required to maintain the spot. As of now, the team's first match is scheduled for February 5th against AZIO.
