Colin's Autoexec win Generation NSTLGA Lacey Cup

Colin's Autoexec took home the $1,500 top prize.

The first of the bi-monthly Generation NSTLGA Lacey Cup went down this past weekend, with six teams vying for a share of the $2,000 prize pool.

Colin's Autoexec went through the group stage undefeated and were joined in the playoffs by MS_Office, Team Ukraine, and RYD. Colin's Autoexec clashed in the semifinal with MS_Office, while Team Ukraine played RYD.

Colin's Autoexec defeated MS_Office in their semifinal, continuing their undefeated run in the tournament. Team Ukraine swept RYD in the other semifinal, setting up a Group A rematch in the final.

Team Ukraine chose Dust2, winning the T side pistol and conversion to take a 2-0 lead early. From that point, the first half was all Colin's Autoexec. They took a 10-2 lead going into their own T side, which they would then convert to a 13-5 victory on map one.

Colin's pick of Inferno was next, where they would try to close out the series 2-0. A back-and-forth first half saw Team Ukraine holding onto a slim 7-5 lead after their defensive side. The parity continued in the second period as Team Ukraine would hold onto their advantage and win the map 13-11.

The deciding map of the tournament was Mirage, where Team Ukraine took an early 3-2 lead before Colin's Autoexec grabbed control. Colin's held an 8-4 lead at the end of their CT side and carried that momentum into their attacking half. Colin's jumped out to a 12-5 lead, giving themselves seven opportunities to win the tournament. Team Ukraine won the next two rounds, but it was a pistol rush out B that would undo them. Colin's Autoexec held off the retake and won the map, series, and tournament 13-7, taking home $1,500 for first place.
