Gaimin Gladiators return to CS after former team threatened to sue
Canadian organization Gaimin Gladiatorshas have signed DESEMPREGUEIDOS, a Brazilian roster of players consisting of the former core of w7m.
The new team formed only days ago when w7m esports released Bruno "shz" Martinelli, Jhonatan "JOTA" Wilian, and coach João "horvy" Horvath after the expiration of their contracts. The trio linked up with former Legacy player Bruno "b4rtiN" Câmara, Lucas "bsd" Luan, and veteran IGL Lucas "bsd" Luan in the past few days before signing with Gaimin Gladiators.
Gaimin Gladiators competed in North American CS:GO from 2019 to 2022, playing with some of today's well known NA faces like Jeorge "Jeorge" Endicott and Danny "Cxzi" Strzelczyk. The organization returned to Counter-Strike and signed a Danish roster to compete in CS2 in 2024, but to say it ended poorly would be an understatement.
At the very start of 2025, Gaimin Gladiators parted ways with their entire Danish roster, but the former players announced in March that they were taking the organization to court, alleging that Gaimin Gladiators improperly terminated their deals. The current status of that lawsuit is unknown, but just this past month, the organization also unexpectedly pulled out of the The Dota 2 International 2025 tournament, due to "internal matters between the players."
Gaimin Gladiators are now:
-
Gabriel "NEKIZ" Schenato -
Jhonatan "JOTA" Willian -
Bruno "shz" Martinelli -
Bruno "b4rtiN" Câmara -
Lucas "bsd" Luan -
João "horvy" Horvath (coach)
Gaimin Gladiators will debut at FERJEE Rush 2025 on September 27th, a $27,419 16-team LAN in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
