Intel announce $1,000 CAD 2v2 tournament

60 spots remain open for the qualifier.

Intel Gaming have announced a $1,000 CAD 2v2 Counter-Strike 2 tournament in partnership with Best Buy Canada and ASUS ROG as part of their Intel Gamer Days promotion. The event, which is limited to Canadian players, will see 2v2 squads compete in a qualifier on FACEIT in order to earn one of sixteen spots on LAN at a Best Buy store located in Toronto, Canada.

The qualifier for the main event can be found on the FACEIT platform here and is set to start on August 30th. Currently the event still had 60 spots open for registration, providing ample opportunities for Canadian players to try and secure a spot on LAN.

While overall turnout is a bit low at the moment, a few notable Canadian CS players are signed up for the qualifier including a team consisting of Jonathan "djay" Dallal and Adam "freshie" Paterson while another lineup features former pro Gabriel "Gabie" Cordeiro.
