Passion UA sign up for Latvian LAN

Passion UA have signed up for Urban Riga Open #1, an open VRS LAN in Latvia. The tournament offers a $7,000 prize pool and will run from September 29th to 30th.

Urban Riga Open #1 will welcome 12 teams in total. Besides Passion UA, AaB and Alliance are the only other teams confirmed at this point. But the tournament organizer will reveal the full list soon.

The tournament will kick off on September 29th with a GSL best-of-three group stage, and the single-elimination playoffs will be played on September 30th.

The four highest seeds based on VRS will skip the group stage and join the tournament only in the playoffs. So, depending on who else signs up, there's a big chance Passion UA will be one of the highest seeds.

The winner will take home $6,000, and the runners-up will earn $1,000 as a consolation prize. But, more importantly, this will be yet another smaller LAN that Passion UA can use to earn points and climb positions in the VRS.

Speaking of smaller VRS LANs, Passion UA will play at DraculaN Season 1 in Bucharest, Romania, next week.
