Mr. Counter-Strike himself has spoken

ropz says CS2 is unoptimized: "The game is a** on anything else but a 9800X3D"

Pros have a hard time even with some of the best PC specs available.

Even though fans always joke that Robin "ropz" Kool is the person behind CS2's official profile on X, it turns out the Estonian is actually unhappy with the lack of optimization in the game.

ropz openly criticized CS2 after seeing Thour, a content creator, saying the game is in a "very good state right now."

"To be honest, it's tough to agree," ropz wrote in reply.

"A massive problem is still the FPS. For me, the game is ass on anything but a 9800X3D, and not every tournament has that. Many issues still, but this is a big one."

The Estonian even said that his game dropped to 126 FPS during an A execute that TYLOO made on Nuke against Vitality during the Esports World Cup.

Dan "apEX" Madesclaire seconded ropz's thoughts and tagged Counter-Strike in the thread.

"We need you," apEX wrote.

If even pro players are experiencing FPS drop in tournaments, imagine what the average player goes through with a casual PC.

Valve updated CS2 earlier this week on August 18th, but apparently, there's more work to be done.
