Breaking: FaZe bench EliGE, sign Polish youngster jcobbb
The EliGE era at FaZe Clan is already over. The organization announced today that Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski has been moved to the bench by "mutual" decision.
In their announcement, FaZe says that EliGE "remains with FaZe as we consider our options going forward." In his own post on X, EliGE says it's the "end of a chapter" and claims he will "be starting a new one soon." Following the benching, FaZe soon announced their new starter, Polish 21-year-old Jakub "jcobbb" Pietruszewski, formerly of 9INE and Betclic Apogee.
With the move, EliGE's time with FaZe has come to an end. One of North America's best talents joined FaZe at the start of 2025, hoping to replicate the same level of success Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken had when he made the same move in 2022.
For FaZe and EliGE though, the success and the cohesion never manifested. Conflicting styles have been a massive issue, as EliGE was not used to the FaZe style of play, and struggled to fill the gap left by Robin "ropz" Kool, who has gone to have unprecedented success with Vitality.
