wwaves enter NA Impact with Lumen
ESL Impact Lumen have been signed by wwaves, seeing the small Russian organization pick up the Russian-speaking lineup ahead of the start of the ESL Impact League Season 8. The wwaves organization previously hosted a Russian Impact squad from November 2023 to November 2024 that failed to make the ESL Impact League and mostly competed in ESL Impact Cash Cups.
The Lumen roster remained unchanged upon joining wwaves, however they have picked up a coach in the form of Andrey "rAd3K" Popov, a relatively unknown figure who has worked with smaller teams in the Russian scene.
Of interest, Olga "olya" Kryvulych told Dust2.us that the owner of wwaves previously worked for Spirit, however Dust2.us could not independently verify this.

wwaves are currently competing in the ESL Impact League Season 8 NA Open Qualifier #1 for a spot in the league. The team fell to girl kissers in the semifinals and will now aim to grab a spot via the third-place decider on August 17th.
