Fragadelphia expands Blocktober to 48 teams; tickets to go on sale tonight

Fragadelphia Blocktober will now feature 48 teams instead of 32, the tournament organizer announced on August 13th. This is a result of the tickets selling out in three minutes due to various foreign teams signing up for the event in Philadelphia.

These 16 extra tickets will go on sale tonight, at 06:00PM.

Understandably, several North American players stated that they would miss FRAG Blocktober because they couldn't buy tickets in time.

FRAG has been a mainstay for the lower echelons of the NA scene, and many complained that the tournament is losing its casual vibe because of how the Valve Regional Standings (VRS) work.

This new era of Counter-Strike esports is prompting European and South American teams to travel to NA to participate in FRAG events and potentially climb the VRS rankings.

However, FRAG has made it clear that it cares for the NA scene amidst all this criticism.

"We've been tossin' and turnin' in bed after reading your concerns about NA not being properly represented at Blocktoberfest," FRAG said.

"So you know what? Fuck it. We're expanding to 48! At 06:00PM, when you're home from your day jobs, tickets will go up for sale."
