Breaking: Fragadelphia releases insane team list for Blocktober featuring multiple Top 30 teams!
Late last night Fragadelphia released the team list for Fragadelphia Blocktober, showing off the absolutely insane team list set to attend the $10,000 NA LAN. The team list is incredibly unique for a Fragadelphia event and NA events in general as the event currently consists of a plurality of European teams and a majority of teams from outside North America.
The reason so many top North American, South American, and especially European teams opted to sign up for Blocktober is due to the LAN being the final event before invites for the StarLadder Budapest Major are released, meaning it will be the final chance for squads to earn VRS points and thus invites to the Major.
As a result, many teams on the cusp of making the Major have gambled on earning those much-needed points by heading out to Philadelphia. Among all of the teams that nabbed tickets, Complexity, Fnatic, SAW, and Ninjas in Pyjamas are within the Top 30 within the VRS while a countless number of teams are within the Top 60.
An unfortunate consequence of this LAN being so important for teams around the world is that few NA teams managed to nab tickets in the three minutes they were up for sale. As such, NA teams only constitute 12/32 teams in the current team list, which has led to debate and conversation about FRAG's changing role and presence in the space.
It is likely FRAG will put more tickets up for sale in the near future so hopefully more NA teams will be able to participate in this massive LAN.
The absolutely insane list of notable teams set to attend Fragadelphia Blocktober currently consists of:
•
