YEKINDAR on his IGL stint with Liquid: "I was just a terrible leader"
Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis is having a career resurgence with FURIA this year. His stock has gone up significantly since joining the Brazilian organization, leaving many fans wondering what went wrong in his last months with Liquid.
YEKINDAR hopped on HLTV Confirmed today, August 12th, and revealed that he wants to be an IGL in the future, even though he couldn't make things work on Liquid.

"I don't think I was a bad IGL, and I definitely want to be an IGL in the future. And, since I also saw NiKo saying this, I'm going to say this as well, just so people trash-talk me as well [chuckles]. But, I was just a terrible leader, I was just a young kid who wanted to win so bad, but I couldn't hold my emotions back."
YEKINDAR touched on how he was playing with Robert "Patsi" Isyanov, Aleks "Rainwaker" Petrov, and Joshua "oSee" Ohm — who were all young — and that he wasn't an example for them.
While YEKINDAR's short IGLing period in Liquid was bad, it does seem that the Latvian has the qualities to try again in the future. Not only he's putting up good numbers again, but FURIA's IGL Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo have said many times that YEKINDAR comes up with good ideas.
