BLUEJAYS defeat Wildcard in Daddyskins cup final; earn spot at Fragville 2025

BLUEJAYS won in a close two-map series.

BLUEJAYS v. Wildcard was the headliner matchup to end the Daddyskins Cup yesterday.

Wildcard kept both maps close, but fell to BLUEJAYS in a sweep. With the win, BLUEJAYS earn themselves a team ticket for Fragville in Knoxville, TN.

BLUEJAYS bested RedactedSociety, Demolition, and SKDC on their way to the final. Wildcard had to go through TSG, LAG, and Omen to book their spot in the final.

Wildcard started the first map of Nuke hot, jumping out to a commanding 9-3 lead. BLUEJAYS didn't roll over, though, flipping the script and forcing overtime with a 9-3 second half. BLUEJAYS took that momentum into OT, winning all four rounds and taking the first map 16-12.

Mirage started as evenly as could be, with neither team able to get the upper hand at halftime. BLUEJAYS just about managed to win the second map and the series with a 13-10 victory.

Despite it being in a losing effort, Josh "JBa" Barutt was the standout player, dropping 43 kills across the two maps.

BLUEJAYS now will have their team pass fee waived for the Knoxville LAN, which runs from September 5th to September 7th.
