Jeorge has reunited with XotiC and nosraC

Jeorge on XotiC: "He has the best mechanics of any NA player at his peak"

The new-look NRG got their feet wet at Fragadelphia 19.

Jeffrey "Mnmzzz" Moore had the chance to speak with Jeorge "Jeorge" Endicott after he and NRG locked in playoffs over Marsborne and Fragadelphia 19 on day two of the event.

Jeorge spoke about the team's growing pains, the addition of Zack "XotiC" Elshani and Carson "nosraC" O'Reilly, and NRG's future.

Great win over Marsborne, how are you feeling coming out of that series?

Not feeling 100%, obviously. The couple pretty bad T sides in that series. I think it was a lot of rookie mistakes and maybe a little bit of nerves. Going forward, after reviewing that stuff and hopefully fixing the mistakes it should be a pretty good time in playoffs.

With this win, it seems like things are clicking relatively well early days for this new iteration of NRG with XotiC and nosraC. You came to this event with relatively little practice. How are the first days with those new guys? Of course, not new teammates to you, but new teammates to NRG.

The practice started off slow, but now we're comfortable. It's been going pretty well the last few days.

With these additions, we talked to daps about where the idea to bring XotiC and nosraC into the team came from. He pointed to you as being a pretty big influence. Obviously, you were a former teammate of nosraC's and briefly a former teammate of XotiC's on various iterations of Nouns and Gamin Gladiators. What made you bring up this idea of bringing your former teammates?

First of all, for XotiC, I think he's insane at the game. He has the best mechanics of any NA player at his peak. Right now, he's overthinking a lot but if he can get comfortable and start flowing like he does when he pugs, I think he's going to be an insane player. And nosraC because we needed someone who's able to fill in the gaps more and be more intuitive.

A lot of people were looking towards XotiC at his first LAN to see if he'd be able to replicate what he does online. It seems like based off this Marsborne game that things are going well for him. Were you expecting him to shine as much as he did in a LAN environment?

Yeah, obviously we couldn't be 100% sure, but I expected for Fragadelphia he'd keep relatively the same performance. We'll have to see how he performs at Pro League and BLAST Bounty online against tier one teams. I'm hopeful for the future.

Now with the squad locking in playoffs, you're in a good position to make your way to the finals. I'm sure you're looking to avenge your loss to NIP at FRAG Vegas. Do you think this team is better equiped to avoid a collapse like we saw for the old NRG in Vegas?

Honestly, we still make a lot of newbie mistakes because we just made roster changes. I think, overall, we might have a slightly better adaptation style where we can adapt more midgame. I think we won't collapse like last time we did v. NIP, but we can't be sure.

NRG was defeated by BLUEJAYS in the playoffs at finished 5th-8th at Fragadelphia 19.
