Getting Info, M80 within striking distance of ESL Pro League in NA closed qualifier

The ESL Pro League Season 22 NA Closed Qualifier is halfway over, with six teams still competing for just one spot in the prolific league.

After Saturday's matches concluded, Getting Info and M80 find themselves in the winner's finals, each just one win away from reaching the grand final.

Getting Info have strung together victories against anything else, LAG Gaming, and BOSS. Wyatt "snav" Phillippi, who left BOSS to play with Getting Info the day of the qualifier, has been a solid contributor so far, though he did have a quiet individual match against his former team.

M80 entered the qualifier as highly ranked contenders, and have taken care of business so far against Outfit 49, MarcaRegistrada, and BLUEJAYS. Fritz "slaxz-" Dietrich, Michael "Swisher" Schmid, and Mason "Lake" Sanderson are all in the top five in player rating for the event.

The NA closed qualifier resumes tomorrow with four teams fighting for survival in the lower bracket. BOSS faces Marsborne while simultaneously LAG Gaming takes on BLUEJAYS. Following the conclusion of those matches, the winners will face off in the lower bracket semifinal, while Getting Info plays M80.

The NA closed qualifier concludes on Monday with the lower bracket final and the grand final. The winner joins a stacked Pro League field that has a sparse North American presence. Outside of Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski on FaZe, the only NA representatives qualified so fare are the ECL S49 champions in NRG.
