Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series 2 Quarterfinals Day 2: Getting Info sweeps Party Astronauts
Party Astronauts v. Getting Info went down yesterday in the second Dust2.us Eagle Masters quarterfinal.
Getting Info came in as one of two teams with a flawless 3-0 record in the regular season, whereas Party Astronauts squeaked into the playoffs with a 3-2 record after starting 2-0.
Getting Info 2-0 Party Astronauts
Party Astronauts had the choice of the first map and went with Anubis. PA started with a 4-0 lead, but Getting Info responded with an 8-0 run to end the half. Getting Info capitalized on their momentum and only gave up one round in the second half to take the first map 13-5.
Getting Info picked Mirage as the second map of the series, starting off their map with a 5-0 lead. Party Astronauts didn't roll over, though, winning six of the final seven rounds in the first half to even up the score at 6-6. PA won the first two rounds of the second period, but couldn't put much else together. Getting Info won seven out of eight rounds to finish the map with a decisive 13-7 victory.
Derek "dare" Brown led the way in the fragging department for Getting Info, registering 40 frags across the two maps.
