Let's run it back

ESL announce details for ESL Impact League Season 8

The best women's Counter-Strike in the world is coming back soon.

After an exciting ESL Impact Season 7 concluded in Dallas this past May, the path to Season 8 has been laid. Season 8 will resume with qualifiers in Europe, North America, and South America that will run from August 15-21. Each region will utilize two qualifiers, with each qualifier consisting of an unlimited single-elimination best-of-three bracket.

Each region's season will run from September 10 until October 25. 12 teams will make up the European season, while both the North American and South American seasons will each be eight teams.

At the end of the season, eight teams (four from EU, two from NA, and two from SA) will compete at the Finals in Stockholm at the end of November.

Season 7 concluded with FURIA fe claiming the finals trophy in a comeback win against the NA roster of Supernova Comets. That grand final was historic as it marked Brazil's first Impact League title, and the first time an NA roster had reached the grand final, though it was marred by a wave of transphobia directed towards Supernova Comets.

Here is the full list of dates for Impact Season 8, which are the same for all three regions:

  • Qualifier 1: August 15th - 17th

  • Qualifier 2: August 19th - 21st

  • League Season: September 10th - October 25

  • Global Finals in Stockholm: November 28th - 30th
