All questions and answers have been edited slightly for length and clarity.
You told me before the final that it was not time to be happy, we're here to win. Are you finally happy now?
Yeah, it's a lot of emotion, I don't know what to say. I'm very proud, really happy.
With this win, seven events, seven titles, an undisputed era has started for Vitality. People are going to be asking, what's the number one factor in being able to create this era? What do you think is the one reason Vitality was able to make this amazing achievement this season?
First of all, I don't think it's an era yet, because for me, it's at least one year. Just imagine that we won the Major, but let's say after the break that we don't win any trophies. What can you say after the second Major? You say, ok, it was a good six months, but that's it. The key was a redemption for us this year, because 2024 was a disappointment. We won Cologne, but that's it. I think we made the right decision to take ropz. How we work, guys are really different and how we work as a staff as well. Everything is different, I don't know what I can say is the main reason, it's a lot of factors.
It's a lot of factors that go into it, it's the players, the support system, the coaching, and the organization itself. There's always been a curse: a team wins the Major, then they go into the player break, and they come back and are not their same selves. You're going to be coming into a busy schedule in the second season with Cologne and EWC. What's the plan in your head to make it so that when you come back, it's the same Vitality that has won seven events in a row?
First, we have the break, and I think we will take three weeks. Then, we start online and we do a bootcamp again for five days. Also, we have a discussion about our next goal. This year, first, it was to win at least one Major and one of Katowice or Cologne. With the coach performance, my assistant and myself, we will try and find new goals and to make sure we're ready. Yes, you're right, it's seven trophies, but we can make history, for sure. I don't think it will happen again, six months like that. We want to win two or three more trophies.
Vitality is back in the server at IEM Cologne, starting at the end of July.
