BLAST announces Hong Kong as host city for Rivals Season 2
BLAST has revealed that Hong Kong will host the second edition of BLAST Premier Rivals in November of this year.
This will be the first international esports event held in Hong Kong since the Esports Music Festival in 2019. The tournament will take place in the AsiaWorld-Arena.
The top four teams from the global Valve Regional Standings will be invited to the tournament and joined by four regional wildcard invites from NA, SA, EU, and Asia. The participants will compete for a $1,000,000 pool in prizes and participation fees.
The event will run from November 12th to November 16th, concluding a little over a week before the beginning of the StarLadder Budapest Major.
Alongside the impressive performance of Chinese teams TYLOO and Lynn Vision at the BLAST.tv Austin Major, this event could help propel Counter-Strike's popularity in the enormous Chinese market.
