No pain for paiN

biguzera: "I want to go to playoffs and go for more"

paiN are feeling good and are ready for more.

While North America has fallen behind at the Austin Major, Brazil has stepped up, with both Legacy and paiN securing Stage Three spots with one more day to go in Stage Two.

After pain's Stage Three-clinching victory against Lynn Vision, Rodrigo "biguzera" Bittencourt spoke to Dust2.us about their level of confidence and how everything's coming together after a tough start to the year.

You can find the entire interview below in either text or video form. All questions and answers have been slightly edited for clarity.

Massive win for you against Lynn Vision to put you into Stage Three. How are you feeling?

Very happy. I think the team today showed that we can play very good CS. Of course I'm so proud of the team. We hope to play this kind of Counter-Strike in the next stage.

This is the second Brazilian team through to the next stage. Does it feel good after a difficult year [for the region]?

Of course. We were unlucky all the time: visa issues, some illnesses. I don't know, everything was going wrong. Right now everything is okay. We're playing with the five correct players and we're happy now. The results will come.

Many people have been talking about the state of the Brazilian scene. How do you view the scene right now?

Brazilian Counter-Strike has its ups and downs all the time. Right now it's up with Legacy going 3-0, us going 3-1, and maybe FURIA 3-1. We still have MIBR who can beat Falcons too. I think we have to wait and see a bit more. Of course getting to Legends [Stage Three] is a good result, but I'm not happy with just this. I want to go to playoffs and go for more.

How have you been preparing João "snow" Vinicius for the Major?

He's a smart guy. He can learn so fast. We weren't getting to play real CS because we were running into problems and issues all the time, and he was a little upset with those situations. But now he's happy to be here with the whole team. The whole team is happy.

Is there a chance for another Brazilian team to win a Major on American soil?

Of course. We just have to be confident all the time. That was what was missing from us before, but now we're so confident and feel we can beat anyone.
