NA CS IN SHAMBLES: Wildcard’s exit caps off dismal BLAST.tv Austin Major Stage One
After starting the BLAST.tv Austin Major Stage One strong, Wildcard have gone from 2-0 to 2-3, and are out of the Major following a defeat to Legacy this Friday, June 6th.
With this result, NA had undoubtely the worst result of all regions in Stage One as neither of our teams advanced to Stage Two. Complexity were eliminated by TYLOO yesterday and exited with a 1-3 record, while NRG lost to Lynn Vision earlier today.
Inferno:
Legacy 13-10 Wildcard
The series kicked off on Legacy's map pick, the Brazilians were always in control of the game. Wildcard closed the gap at the end, but the damage was already done.
While most of the Wildcard players had an uninspiring performance, most of the Brazilians fragged well. Bruno "latto" Rebelatto topped the scoreboard with 19 kills of his own.
Nuke:
Legacy 13-6 Wildcard
Things went from bad to worse on Nuke as Legacy completely wrecked Wildcard's T-side. The Brazilians were playing with confidence, pushing and making all sorts of aggro plays, and Wildcard never got the ball rolling.
Legacy switched to the T-side with an 11-1 advantage, and they just closed out the game after some rounds, without giving Wildcard a chance.
While Stage One was awful for NA, the competition isn't over for us, as M80 are joining in Stage Two, and Liquid will join in Stage Three.
