Marsborne release Minus
Marsborne has cut Marshall "Minus" Sedowicz from their CS2 roster, the organization announced on May 28th. The news caught some fans by surprise as Minus helped Marsborne to win Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series 1 over Nouns one month ago, and was the MVP of the tournament.
Despite not going deep in the ESL Challenger League Season 49 North America playoffs, Marsborne were on an upward trajectory. The organization didn't inform why Minus was let go, opting to only thank him for his services.
He’s been with us since the beginning — a core part of our foundation and someone who helped carry this team through its earliest challenges and biggest moments.
This wasn’t an easy call. We’re grateful for everything he gave to Marsborne — in and out of the server — and we wish him the best.
Minus too didn't share many details. Despite playing in all of Marsborne's recent matches, Minus said that he was benched about "a month ago", and that he's "motivated, ready to grind, and eager to prove" himself.
It remains to be seen how much Minus's removal will affect Marsborne, as his older brother, Matthew "Cashmere" Sedowicz, is their current general manager.
That said, there are plenty of NA players available after BLUEJAYS parted ways with Keller "SLIGHT" Nilan, Gavin "Fruitcupx" Norman, and Wyatt "snav" Phillippi earlier this month.
Marsborne are down to:
-
Ian "motm" Hardy
-
Connor "chop" Sullivan
-
Adam "WolfY" Andersson
-
Adam "Grizz" Golden
-
Hunter "Lucid" Tucker (Coach)
