The MongolZ make easy work of Aurora, reach IEM Dallas semifinal
The MongolZ are through to the semifinal of IEM Dallas after defeating Aurora in two maps.
The MongolZ had to fight and claw on Dust2, but managed to steal away Aurora's pick by winning six of the last seven rounds to take the first map 13-11. It was a 1v3 with the MP9 from Ayush "mzinho" Batbold that reversed the momentum and activated the late MongolZ run.
Aurora's collapse on Dust2 carried over to Mirage, where the MongolZ racked up 10 straight rounds to start their CT side, finishing the first half with a dominant 11-1 lead. Aurora lost pistol but won the second round force to stay alive just a bit longer, but The MongolZ closed Mirage out quickly, 13-6.

A despondent Engin "MAJ3R" Küpeli was not pleased with Aurora's performance after the game. "We just threw rounds," he told HLTV. "Today we didn't deserve to play another playoff match, we didn't play great Counter-Strike, and it is what it is. Everybody knows it's not the real face of Aurora."
While a trophy still eludes them, IEM Dallas represents the fourth time this year already where The MongolZ have reached a semifinal (Katowice, EPL S21, Melbourne). They play MOUZ tomorrow for a chance at the final.
