IEM Dallas rosters to feature multiple stand-ins

The action kicks off in Dallas today, with Vitality coming off their ESL Grand Slam win. Multiple teams are playing below full-strength to begin their journeys in Texas.

FaZe is the most notable team to be affected, as their roster has just added Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev and Felipe "skullz" Medeiros in place of Håvard "rain" Nygaard and Helvijs "broky" Saukants. broky has been benched and replaced by s1mple until at least the end of the Major while rain is expecting the birth of a child any moment now.

Aleksandar "CacaNito" Kjulukoski is playing for BC.Game instead of Joakim "jkaem" Mybrostad, who has been benched due to his infamous alleged $300k gambling debt. CacaNito played for this side previously, but was benched in February. The team were set to use Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy, however he was unable to secure a visa ahead of the event.

For GamerLegion, they will be missing their AWPer Henrich "⁠sl3nd⁠" Hevesi and Frederik "⁠acoR⁠" Gyldstrand will be playing in his spot. acoR played for GamerLegion last year before joining the ill-fated TSM roster.
