Many fans missed ddk over these years

ddk returns to CS after nearly 4 years, partners with Anders for PGL Astana 2025

The Brit will work on his first CS event since the PGL Stockholm Major 2021.

Historic CS:GO caster Daniel "ddk" Kapadia will commentate games alongside Anders Blume at PGL Astana 2025, the Romanian tournament organizer announced on April 21st.

PGL Astana will mark ddk's return to Counter-Strike broadcasts after his long stint in VALORANT esports as a commentator and, later, General Manager for 100 Thieves.

ddk had been actively trying to return to the casting booth since August 2023, when he departed 100 Thieves. When he left CS, he worked mainly alongside James Bardolph, who recently announced his departure from FACEIT.

Though Bardolph announced his intention to work with ddk again, it remains to be seen whether one of the most iconic CS:GO casting duos will reunite in CS2 now that ddk is set to commentate games with Anders at PGL Astana.

Anders, who returned to tier-one CS at PGL Bucharest 2025, has been without a permanent partner for a while now. So, depending on how PGL Astana goes, he and ddk might want to pursue future opportunities together.
