Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series 1 Day 9 Recap - Nouns and BNC lock in playoffs

Three playoff spots remain up for grabs tonight.

The penultimate night of the Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series 1 Swiss Stage was played out last night, seeing two more teams claim their spots in the playoffs of our $10,000 VRS-ranked event with Bad News Capybaras and Nouns finding decisive wins over SUPER EVIL GANG and Marsborne, respectively.

United States SUPER EVIL GANG 0-2 United States Bad News Capybaras

The first match of the night saw Bad News Capybaras utterly dominate SUPER EVIL GANG in their Bo3 showdown, with the former team only dropping nine rounds across the series. Map one, Anubis, was a near sweep for BNC as they posted an 11-1 T-side on their opponent's map pick before quickly closing things out 13-1. Map two, Mirage, was a bit of a better showing for SEG as they managed to claim four rounds on their CT-side, however it wasn't enough as BNC ended up winning the map 13-8.

The second series was initially far more competitive, as two of NA's top teams clashed for a spot in the playoffs. Map one, Train, saw Nouns win their CT-side 8-4 in the first half while in the second half Marsborne battled back ferociously before Nouns narrowly avoided overtime by taking Train 13-11. While both teams looked great on Train, Ancient was decidedly less competitive as Nouns were unstoppable on their T-side, winning their T-side 11-1 before using that momentum to win the map 13-4 thus locking in playoffs.
