nicoodoz qualifies for 5th Major with 4th club in 3 years
Danish AWPer Nico "nicoodoz" Tamjidi has pulled off quite the impressive feat, qualifying for a fifth Major with a fourth team since 2022, after just recently reaching BLAST.tv Austin with OG.
Since 2022, nicoodoz has competed at PGL Antwerp with Copenhagen Flames, IEM Rio and BLAST.tv Paris with Fnatic, PGL Copenhagen with Heroic, and now heads to Austin with OG. He's now reached six Majors in total, having qualified for PGL Stockholm 2021 with the Flames as well. He had the chance to add to this accomplishment with Gaimin Gladiators during the PW Shanghai Major qualifiers, but the team fell short.
The Danish sniper has had trouble finding a permanent place to play over the past few years, yet always plays well enough to help he's on reach the Major (with Shanghai being the exception). And with Astralis falling short of qualifying again, OG will field the most Danish players of any roster with three: nicoodoz, Christoffer "Chr1zN" Storgaard, and Christian Møss "Buzz" Andersen.
The full field of 32 teams at the BLAST.tv Austin Major is nearly set, with only a couple spots from Americas qualifiers remaining.
