MCS disbands, InControl picks up two of their players

InControl, a team currently playing in ESL Challenger League Season 49 North America, have picked up former MCS players Jaden "Oczarka" Koehler and Brett "Scorchyy" Coolen. The former MCS duo will fill the void left open by the departures of Dylan "DYLAN" Frivalt and Sam "milo" Cash.

Dust2.us' Editor-in-Chief Jeffrey "Mnmzzz" Moore reached out to players of both MCS and InControl to shed light on what motivated these roster changes.

According to MCS' former head coach Caedon "MAD" Zube, one of the reasons for their disbandment is because they "were kinda of gunning for ECL", but instead they failed and didn't make ESEA Advanced Season 52 playoffs.

"Knowing that we wouldn't have the same five for [ESEA Advanced NA] S53, some of us decided to continue on and others are chilling for a season," MAD told Dust2.us.

As a result of this, Scorchyy and Oczarka joined InControl, Alex "snufaffu" Hong will play in ESEA Open, Terry "ogura" Zhao will take a break, and Ghasif "Go0dby3" Syed's future is up in the air.

As for the departures of DYLAN and milo, the former left because he feels that his improvement can be accelerated and his skills can be better utilized in a "new and different team environment". milo, on the other hand, told Dust2.us that she and DYLAN left due tod different ways "of seeing the game" from their former teammates while Antonio "AJ2k" Garcia told Dust2.us that milo had been cut.

According to milo, InControl have enough roster moves to use Scorchyy and Oczarka for the remainder of their ECL S49 NA campaign because ESL clarified their roster rules, allowing InControl two more roster changes this season.

After these roster changes, InControl are:
